Cookie Kwan (Marie Ferrer) is a multimedia artist born in the Philippines and raised in Chicago. In the last few years, Cookie has participated in various group art shows, community events, and painted murals throughout our beautiful city. In 2021, she celebrated her first successful solo exhibit, “Between The Lines” hosted by Happy Place Art Gallery in Logan Square. Influences from her Filipino culture, nature, space, spirituality, and city life in Chicago emanate from every piece. She is known for combining intricate, story-telling linework with vibrant, dreamlike clouds to create her signature style.
